Important Insurance Updates

for CCPT Families

Last updated: August 22, 2025

Due to recent budget cuts announced by the State of North Carolina, we’re making a few changes that will affect some aspects of our practice—both effective immediately and in the coming months.

Our commitment to high-quality, family-centered care remains unchanged.

1) Medicaid & Medicaid-Managed Care Plans — Effective Immediately

We are no longer accepting new patients covered under Medicaid or Medicaid-managed care plans at this time.

Current CCPT patients with these plans will continue services without interruption.

Prospective patients with Medicaid may be placed on a waitlist and will be contacted as space becomes available.

2) Aetna State Health Plan — Effective January 2026

The State has announced changes to the State Health Plan that will impact patients insured through Aetna under this plan (typically families with a parent employed by the State of North Carolina). Expected changes include: A significant decrease in contracted reimbursement rates for medical providers as well as the introduction of copays or deductible payments, depending on your specific plan.

We understand these updates may be confusing or concerning. We encourage families impacted by these changes to contact their employer benefits office or insurance representative to understand individual coverage and financial responsibilities starting in 2026.

If you have questions about how these updates may affect your child’s care at CCPT, please reach out.

We’re here to help and will continue advocating for accessible, high-quality services for every child we serve!
